Staff Development Needs
Teachers need to become familiarized with their grade level technology application standards. Teachers need to be trained (30 hours
at minimum in the school year) on the integration of technology into the core content areas with higher-level thinking.
Future Vision and Direction
Teachers will integrate technology into the core content areas with higher-level thinking on a weekly basis. Students will use
technology to facilitate their own learning in a variety of different contexts (i.e., classroom, computer lab, library, and home). Eighty
six percent or more of the fifth grade students will master the technology TEKS as measured via the 5th grade Technology Literacy
Assessment.
The campus administrators will communicate and promote a shared vision with regard to the importance of technology integration
in student learning and achievement. The campus principal will allocate a certain amount of the campus budget to meeting campus
technology needs, including having five or more computers in each classroom.
