Future Vision and Direction Harris Elementary School has come from being a Blueprint school to being recognized in the 2006 year. We accomplished this be concentrating all of our instructional time into specific TAKs tested areas. Unfortunately that meant that very little time was devoted to Technology skills. Now that we are in a much shape academically we feel the need to spend more time and effort in ensuring that our students do not fall behind regarding technology. More time will be devoted to teaching technology skills to students as well as requiring more teachers training in the use of technology in the classroom. Campuses will focus on four objectives from Goal 1 and three objectives from Goal 2. The campus focus objectives are shown below in boldface and are marked with a “*”. Goal 1: Teaching and Learning Teaching & Learning focuses on the instructional needs of teachers and the learning needs of students in meeting the vision of technology in education.
