Widen Elementary Department of Instructional Technology Campus Tech Support Our campus does not have a paid campus tech. The ITRC and other teachers volunteer to support campus technology and we rely on the district techs to help. Our Instructional Coach helps with campus technology along with his/her other duties. (Summary statement of how well this is meeting the needs.) Future Vision and Direction In the near future at Widen Elementary, you will see teachers using their laptops on a regular basis to collaborate, create and communicate. Teachers will begin to use their teacher web site and other online tools to keep parents and students informed. Parents will have the opportunity to regularly access the online gradebook and other resources for information about their child. Some classrooms will have integrated multimedia systems with document cameras and other interactive tools. All curriculum resources will be available online. Campus Improvement Plan Alignment One of our goals this year is for teachers to implement at least one integrated lesson in the Fall and one in the Spring. Our CIP calls for continual improvement of our reading scores especially in our African American readers. The technology integration lesson will include elements to address this need in the Fall.
