Campus Tech Support
Our campus is fortunate to have a part-time Computer Lab Assistant. The ITRC is an Innovation Station Teacher Trainer.
Future Vision and Direction
In the next three years, Sanchez would like to have its students meet or exceed AISD’s 5th grade technology application competencies
on entry into middle school. To be able to do this the teachers at Sanchez will be committed to the following:
 All students in K – 5th grade will be using learning.com on a weekly basis, with direct, whole-class technology instruction,
while integrating technology into instruction in all core content areas
 All Sanchez teachers will be knowledgeable of the school district’s technology IPGs for their respective grade levels and
succeed in implementing them
 Sanchez teachers are skilled in the use of campus multimedia equipment, including computer projectors, digital cameras,
camcorders, scanners, and CD/DVD burners
 Innovation Station teachers will share ideas and team members so that all teachers on campus are benefiting from the latest
technology integration techniques
 In managing student computer time in both the classroom and computer lab, teachers strike an appropriate balance between (1)
technology instruction and (2) applying technology skills to creation of curriculum-related computer products.
 Teachers manage students’ computer time wisely – unsupervised, non-instructional “free time” is discouraged in both the
classroom and computer lab
 Students will reach an independent level of age-appropriate skills in using all types of technology – keyboarding, knowledge of
basic computer workings and associated vocabulary, word processing, spreadsheet usage, data base applications, web design,
and publishing, e-mail, video conferencing, podcasts, web cameras, as well as the use of peripherals, such as cameras, both still
and video, scanners, printers, and memory devices. iMovie and iPod productions will be demonstrated at a level appropriate
for grade level and age. Use of tape recorders, digital recorders, overhead projects, document cameras, televisions, projectors,
and CD/DVD players and burners, microphones and amplifiers will be used routinely for students to access learning.
 Sanchez will provide teachers with appropriate resources and staff development to raise its STaR Chart ratings in those areas
currently described as “early” or “developing”.

Campus Improvement Plan Alignment
Critical thinking skills and inquiry will be explicitly taught throughout the curriculum, and particularly emphasized in Science and Math classes. By focusing on
these skills in the use of technology, teachers and students will have a broader range of opportunities to meet Goal 5: At the Campus Level, Ensure That
There are No Achievement Gaps Among Groups.
The following goals and objectives are taken from the Austin ISD District Technology Plan. Campuses will focus on four objectives
from Goal 1 and.four objectives from Goal 2.. Campuses may choose to include additional objectives in their Campus Tech Plan. The
entire Austin ISD Technology Plan is available for review.
Goal 1: Teaching and Learning
Teaching & Learning focuses on the instructional needs of teachers and the learning needs of students in meeting the vision of
technology in education.
Objective 1.1: Integrate the Technology Applications TEKS within the foundation curriculum at each grade level.
Objective 1.3: Use digital diagnostic tools for formative evaluation to monitor progress toward the mastery of instructional
objectives. Integrate student performance data from district/state assessment instruments with electronic
curriculum resources to inform and differentiate instruction for every child.
Objective 1.5: Provide curriculum to ensure personal safety for students in a digital world and Acceptable Use Policies that
specify expectations and rules for students, parents, and teachers.
Objective 1.8: Utilize innovative strategies for the delivery of the foundation curriculum to meet the diverse and personal
learning needs of all students.
