The ITRC and other teachers volunteer to support campus technology and we rely on the district techs to help. This has been less than effective in meeting the technology needs of our campus. Staff Development Needs The majority of our staff does not seek out professional development opportunities nor do they seek out new ways to integrate technology into the core curriculum. Our staff needs to be more aware of the technology TEKS for their grade level and they need training on how to go about integrating technology. In the past few years, our Star Chart results have more or less stayed the same. We need a simple way to jumpstart technology use at our campus. Until the teachers get motivated to do it, nothing will happen. Future Vision and Direction In three years, we would like to see ALL grade-level teams planning for and implementing technology integration by using Learning.com to teach a skill and then planning a lesson where student have to use that skill in an assignment. We would also like to see our fifth graders performing at or above the Learning.com proficiency standard for the Technology Learning Assessment.
