The ITRC volunteers to support campus technology, provide training, troubleshoot, repairs, and we rely on the district techs to help. Future Vision and Direction Casey Elementary is a vibrant campus ready to take on any challenge that comes its way. Throughout this three-year plan we will continue to pursue all available means to provide adequate technical and instructional technology support to our campus. Also, we will continue to search for funds available for the replacement of any nonfunctioning networked printers, projectors, and computers at our campus. Ideally, we would like to have one instructional and one technical support person at our campus so that their duties are not split between having to teach class and having to provide all the technology needs that come with a campus of our size. In addition we will train our staff and students so that they can use our computer lab to develop any multimedia project or technology need they may have in mind. Furthermore, we will continue our pursuit to train our staff to integrate technology into the curriculum so that our students are not left behind and can become productive members of our community. Most importantly, we will continue to train our teachers so that they can use their laptops on a regular basis to collaborate, create and communicate. Teachers will regularly use their teacher/grade level web site and other online tools to keep parents and students informed. Parents will regularly access the online gradebook and other resources for information about their child. Classrooms will have integrated multimedia systems with document cameras and other interactive tools. All curriculum resources will be available online. Campus Improvement Plan Alignment Our teachers will learn to set up their AISD teacher webpage and update it at least once per a semester. If they already have a website or a blog, they will post a link to it on their AISD teacher webpage. This will align with our CIP goal of increasing effective communication with parents and community members. The following goals and objectives are taken from the Austin ISD District Technology Plan. Campuses will focus on four objectives from Goal 1 and. four objectives from Goal 2.. Campuses may choose to include additional objectives in their Campus Tech Plan. The entire Austin ISD Technology Plan is available for review.
