where they were badly beaten in the Fall of 1776, just six months after the
colonies declared independence from Britain.
They must cross the Delaware River into Pennsylvania where they are
temporarily safe from the British.

General, Hugh Mercer; his aide, Alexander Hamilton; General Sullivan,
General Gates and Colonel Glover.
