Some Medical Applications of
Quantitative Analysis:
*Determination of the concentration of ionized calcium in
blood serum is an important method for the diagnosis of
hyperparathyroidism in human patients.
*Determination of the blood sugar levels is very important
for the diagnosis of diabetes.
*Monitoring of the serum cholesterol level is very important
to follow the coronary disease.
*Determination of albumin, urea, creatinin and some
elements such as copper, zinc, and iron is very important for
the diagnosis of many diseases.

*Quantitative data on nitrogen in breakfast
cereals and other foods are directly related to their
nutritional qualities.
