Brainstorm as many things in each of the columns as you can think of.

Circle one thing in each column that is in the same category (eg, shipbuilding (N.E.), farming (Middle), tobacco (Southern) are all products or economic activities). If one column doesn’t have one, add it and circle it. Draw a line between the 3. Do the same thing with as many of the items as you can, each in a different color. Make a color key for the categories at the bottom.
