Summer School 2012 Expectations
Mentor Teachers:
 Provide a schedule of school visits
 Log hours in workforce
 Observe each teacher 2-3 times per week
(submit the observation form to Summer School principal)
 Meet with Janie Maldonado at the end of the summer school
session in order to provide feedback on curriculum
 Provide teachers with classroom support and materials
support as needed
 Collect classroom supplies, Nystrom kits, inventory the
supplies
 Return the tubs to Social Studies Dept at CAC
Summer School Teachers:
 Review the curriculum notebook during June
 Follow the curriculum
 Prepare and plan for each day
 Use the mentor as a resource
 Take care of supplies especially non-consumables
 Let the summer school mentor know of any concerns and
needs that you have regarding curriculum, assessment, and
materials
 Check with your Summer School Principal for the grading
policy and the number of grades you need to take each day.
