How to crimp a network cable RJ45
.
tool needs
A crimping tool is a tool designed
to crimp or connect a connector to the end
of a cable
tester
When connected to an cable, a network
cable tester tells if the cable is capable of
carrying an Ethernet signal. If the cable
carries the signal
Cable cutter
RJ-45 Connectors & CAT-5 cable
A Guide to Crimping RJ-45 Connectors
1. remove the outer cover for CAT-5 Once you
remove the outer cover, see the pairs of
wire are twisted together
2. Untwist these wires.
3. Once all the wires have been separated,
pull them backward, as shown below
4. o you can cut off the exposed plastic core,
next task is to arrange them p from left to right, :
1. Orange with a white stripe
2. Orange
3. Green with a white stripe
4. Blue
5. Blue with a white stripe
6. Green
7. Brown with a white stripe
8. Brown
 Now that the wires are in the correct order, hold the
RJ-45 connector next to the cable, as shown below, to
determine how much wire needs to be cut off, as
shown below
 Place the Cat-5 cable ends into the RJ-45 heads
 When you've finished crimping both cable ends, you
can use a cable tester to verify that the ends were
installed correctly.
