PITTSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY College of Arts and Science Biology Department [Environmental Life Science] The Department of Biology at Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track, 9 academic month position in Environmental Life Science beginning August 2016, contingent on funding. Tracking Number: BIOL007688S Position Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for coordination, supervision and teaching of Environmental Life Science (non-majors biology) lectures and laboratories, as well as teaching upper division courses in area of expertise. Advising of biology majors, participation in service activities, and developing a research program in area of expertise to involve undergraduate and graduate students are required. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include an earned Ph.D. in Biology or closely related field by starting date of appointment. Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience; demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education in introductory non-majors courses; professional expertise to include either natural history (environmental education, sustainability, or ecology) or human anatomy and dissection for pre-professional health majors; research and practical experience in relevant area of biological science.
