OCCSA Dues- Pablo Nieves Valenzuela
3:35pm-3:35pm
There is a slight change in the amount approved by this body to pay for Rock Creek’s OCCSA dues. The original number
approved was $2722, the actual number is $2941.44.
Josh: Where was the mistake (on the amount) made?
Pablo: It was off by $200 but I’m not sure where the mistake was made. It had to do with the number that we used to get
the FTE (full time enrollment).
Ulises: Are still getting money from the DSC?
Pablo: Yes we are still getting about $4000 from the DSC so we would have money left over.
Luis suggests that Rock Creek pays the middle tier for OCCSA ($2941.44). Unanimous approval.

4.1
Performing Arts Partnership- Axkana Rios
3:50pm-4:05pm
Axkana: On March 6th we have an upcoming Open Mind, Open Mic (OMOM). We started off (OMOM) from scratch
and we had to get people to attend. We had about 21 people last time and our success has started to get noticed
by others on campus. The performing arts department wants to work with us to have OMOM be half dialogue/ half
musical performance.
What do you all want to see? Do you want OMOM to be combined (music and dialogue) and be bi-weekly, or
would you prefer to see OMOM be dialogue one week and music the next?
Pablo: If you were to do a musical performance and dialogue back to back, do you all have the capacity to handle
it.
Axkana: We are partnering up with the Performing Arts department so they would handle the musical performance.
We (the OMOM committee) would handle the dialogue.
Susan: If you have the performances more often I think that you will be able to get more people involved with PCC.
Axkana: Let me add that the Music Department wants to make sure that music students see PCC as a place where
they have a community. They want music students to come here.
Brianda: I think that bi-weekly would be better. It would be more effective to have one big OMOM than a bunch of
them. More time would be more quality.
Pablo: If it is done the same day (mixed performance) the theme should be the same for both.
Ulises: I agree with Brianda and Nolberto, quality over quantity.
Brianda: If it is done every week how many people would attend?
Axkana: Yea it is a challenge.
