EE 3235 Electronics II Homework # 6 Note: 1) Some of the problems use Figures in text part of the book, whereas some of them use the Figures in the Problem Section. In the later case, there is usually a letter P before the figure number. 2) You are supposed to work on it independently, but helpful discussion is encouraged. 3) Please write down necessary solving steps to get full credit. 1. in the book, Page 654, problem 9.85 2. in the book, Page 655, problem 9.89 3. in the book, Page 655, problem 9.91 4. in the book, Page 792, problem D11.9 (You do not have to attach SPICE simulation results for this problem. The answer should include the schematic of the filter circuit, the values for all the resistor and capacitor in the circuit). Hint: To solve this problem, it is suggested first to determine the order of the filter to achieve the specification. Note that Sallen-Key filter, which is a 2nd order filter, has about 40db/decade drop around the 3db bandwidth. Also, the problem states a passband gain of 10. Note that if you cascade a few Sallen-Key circuits, the passband gain is determined by the product of the individual gain of each stage, which is usually lower than 10. You can add an amplifier stage to enhance the gain.
