FROM: SPECED 480 PHASE 4 PORTFOLIO 2u TO: SPECED 480 Phase 4 Portfolio and Seminar 3u II. Justification for action The Department of Special Education is revising the current undergraduate teacher licensure program to meet new and on-going state Department of Public Instruction (DPI) requirements. Program revision involves changes to existing courses, addition of new courses and deletion of courses. For this course, a change in title will better reflect the content and nature of the revised course. To meet new requirements, this course has been combined with another course (SPECED 470/670 – student teaching seminar) and that course is being deleted. Resulting content changes will combine aspects of both courses. 2
