TWO SPECIAL CASH PRIZES FOR REGION V
NATIONAL HISTORY DAY
The Association of St. Louis Area Archivists (ASLAA) and the
National Park Service will each sponsor a special cash prize for
entrants to Region V National History Day to be held on the
campus of the University of Missouri St. Louis Saturday, February
24, 2007.
The Association of St. Louis Area Archivists (ASLAA) will award a $150
cash prize for the Junior entry (grades 6-8) in any category with the best
entry related to the Freedom Suit of Dred and Harriet Scott.
The National Park Service will present an award of a $150 United States Savings
Bond for the Senior entry (Grades 9-12) in any category with the best History Day
entry related to the Freedom Suit of Dred and Harriet Scott.
Missouri Region V Includes schools in Jefferson, Lincoln, Montgomery, St. Charles, St. Louis
and Warren counties, and the City of St. Louis.

October 7 Orientation at the Missouri Historical Society
October 28 Workshop at the Missouri Historical Society
February 24, 2007 Region V National History Day at UM-St. Louis
