Discussion related to 3rd submissions of portfolios next week. This will be the last time for the present form. Jennifer had shared the new rubric for April’s submissions in a previous e-mail. Discussed benefits of new form. Discussed the example of philosophy statement. Discussed eportfolios for certificate students. There are two certificate students in school counseling who have issues with artifacts. Discussed whether we could develop a modified version with six artifacts rather than twelve. One reflection per theme taken from any artifact would allow them to use only school courses. While this would not be allowed for school counseling students certificate students would have difficulty meeting the requirements as they stand. 8. Discussed plagiarism concerns and a prezi which has been developed as a resource for our students. Watched a prezi on plagiarism. Discussed incorporating this on our website and potentially using this in classes. 9. Scotland 2016 - Mark Gillen would like to teach a 3 week group class and Jennifer BettersBubon would like to teach Professional Practices. 10. Discussed immersion program updates. We are now looking at Guatemala. The Global education website has possibilities already if a student wishes to go to a Spanish-speaking country during the summer for an immersion experience. Megan will continue to work on this with us. 11. Reunion updates and the “ask”. Discussed seeking donations via the reunion and suggested student professional development scholarships would be seen as an appropriate use of funds. Invitations will be sent out Feb 25th. 12. Postponed discussion related to one-credit courses (school and higher ed). 13. Discussed Internships 14. Don stated that AAMFTwill be in Milwaukee in October. We discussed the AAMFT specialty and the need to have MFT clearly in the syllabi. 15. Meeting was adjourned on a Anderton/Pressley motion. Approved unanimously. Submitted by David Van Doren
