This experience will be academically enriching and have the added bonus of being a resume builder! Projects eligible for presentation at the UMRHC include an exceptional H-Option Project, a research or creative project originating in an Honors course/section, and an applied project that has enhanced the University Honors Program, including its affiliated communities, the Honors Learning Community and the Honors Student Association. If your application is selected by both UW-W’s Honors Council and the UMRHC, the major expenses related to your conference participation (registration fee, lodging, transportation, the cost of creating a poster, etc.) will be covered by the University Honors Program (UHP). Conference presentations generally consist of two kinds: 1. A formal one-hour session consisting of multiple presenters giving a 10-minute presentation each, followed by Q & A from the audience; 2. Poster presentations in which presenters explain their projects in 1-2 minutes and are available to answer questions.
