Assignment:
1. Animal Cell Picture
 Color the name of each cell structure and the corresponding cell structure the
same color. Please do not use the same color for two cell structures.
 Define each term on a separate sheet of paper.
For example: Cell Membrane – protects the cell and controls what goes
into and out of the cell.
My analogy (comparison) – a screen door allows cool air into the house, but
keeps insects out, just like a cell membrane controls what goes into and out of
the cell.
2. Plant Cell Picture
 Follow the same procedure as the animal cell.
3. List 4 ways a plant cell is different from an animal cell.

5. GROUP PROJECT – 3 D VENN DIAGRAM
 Materials – poster, markers, glue, play doh or model magic, beads,
macoroni, etc.
Procedure
 Create a 3 D model of every cell structure.
 Draw a Venn Diagram.
 Label your venn diagram.
 Glue the cell structures inside the appropriate part of the circles.
For example: The Nucleus belongs where the 2 circles intersect because the
plant and animal cell both contain a nucleus.
 Label each structure or create a key.
