WATER CYCLE: Precipitation
Precipitation is the transfer of water from the atmosphere back to
earth.
Rain is the primary mechanism for transporting water from the
atmosphere to the surface of the earth.
When the temperature and atmospheric pressure are right, small
droplets of water in clouds form larger droplets and precipitation
occurs.
Forms of precipitation include; rain, hail, snow, sleet, and freezing
