MCC’S INTERSESSION
OFFERS 3 CREDITS IN 3 WEEKS
ROCHESTER – From Monday, Jan. 5 through Friday, Jan. 23, Monroe Community College will hold
Intersession, a time-shortened schedule of classes between Fall and Spring semesters that allows students to earn
three course credits in three weeks.
Daily Intersession classes give students the opportunity to complete degree requirements, reduce credit load
during the Spring or Fall semester or complete a course that won’t fit into another semester’s full schedule. Last
year, more than 300 students from over 20 different colleges and universities enrolled in Intersession courses
during the holiday break.
Courses in the following subject areas are scheduled for MCC’s upcoming Intersession: art, biology, health,
music, sociology, economics, mathematics, geography, geology, history, computer science, physical fitness,
psychology and speech.
Courses cover the same content, maintain the same academic standards and contain the same number of in-class
instructional hours as courses scheduled during the traditional 15-week semester. Classes meet mornings,
afternoons or evenings at the Brighton Campus, 1000 East Henrietta Rd. and the Damon City Campus, 228 East
Main Street.
For further information, call (585) 292-2200 or go online to: http://www.monroecc.edu/go/intersession.
