TWU Film Policy Filming (including student films) is not permitted in the Little Chapel-in-the-Woods, as it is a historical structure and is treated as such. All motion picture production companies and independent filmmakers, including student filmmakers, must provide proof of liability insurance that covers damages to university property and grounds. A copy of the insurance policy will be kept in the Office of Marketing and Communication. The filmmaker will provide the university with a copy of the script, or a detailed synopsis that outlines the production, when submitting proof of insurance. The filmmaker also will provide the university with professional references. During filming on campus, a representative of the Office of Marketing and Communication will be assigned to the Production Company as a liaison. The TWU representative will accompany the Production Company at all times while the company is on camps. The TWU representative has authority to shutdown filming at any time, for any reason. The Production Company will reimburse the university at rate of $35 per hour for the liaison. Filmmakers will reimburse Texas Woman's University for any and all expenses the university incurs as a result of the filmmaking. Such expenses include, but are not limited to, wages of university employees needed to accomplish the filming (custodians, facilities maintenance personnel, public safety officers), golf cart rental, cost related to relocating classes or students housed on campus, and utility costs above normal usage. The university reserves the right to grant to deny permission to film on campus on a case-by-case basis. Before permission to film on campus is granted, the filmmaker and/or Production Company agrees to and accepts all terms and conditions outlined in the policy. Last updated November 9, 2010
