GE COURSE REVIEW FORM: AREAS B1 & B2
FALL 2011
As part of a broader SSU effort to conform to WASC standards, the GE subcommittee has undertaken a
review of all GE courses in Area B1 and B2 during the Fall 2011 semester in order to verify that all courses
align with Learning Objectives. This form is intended for courses that are not changing in content or unit value.
REVIEW DOCUMENT TEMPLATE
(I) Catalog Copy Information: Department, course number, course title, number of units, GE area, and
catalog description.
(II) Syllabi: Include a line-numbered syllabus. If a course is taught by multiple faculty, please include one of
the following: (1) syllabi from all instructors currently teaching the course, or (2) a course guideline “model
syllabus” document that applies to all.
(III) Course Content and Learning Outcomes: Cite specific line numbers to succinctly (< 100 words per
objective) explain how the course meets each of the specific learning outcomes for the appropriate sub-area listed below:

and principles governing the behavior of the
physical world.
