Graduate Programs
in Education
 These cohorts are 15-credits each and will be onsite in AACPS at a
reduced tuition rate to eligible Anne Arundel County teachers.
 Non-cohort classes are also offered onsite at AACPS at the full tuition rate.
 Goucher College’s direct billing agreement with AACPS minimizes out of
pocket expenses for eligible teachers.

At-Risk and Diverse Learners with a Literacy Emphasis
Geared toward helping participants better understand and guide a growing population of psychologically
and sociologically disrupted students to become more productive and successful students, with focus in
the areas of reading and writing. The courses in this cohort can be applied to either the M.Ed. or

Reading Instruction (Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist)
Supports the county efforts to prepare literacy professionals who will provide leadership for the school
reading program. The Reading Instruction cohort can lead to reading teacher endorsement (12 credits
required) or reading specialist certification (additional coursework required). For a complete synopsis of

Ideal for those who are currently teaching under a conditional teaching certificate or for those who wish
to add special education certification. The courses in this cohort will count towards Goucher College’s
MSDE-approved Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree with Special Education Certification

School Improvement Leadership
Provides the needed knowledge, skills and coursework for participants who are working toward state
certification for Administrator I. The courses in this cohort can be applied toward either the M.Ed. or

I understand that the $150 registration fee for each 3-credit course is Non-Refundable. Further, I acknowledge that I am responsible for payment of all
registration fees and charges to personal accounts. These may include expenses incurred at the bookstore, the library, and all other facilities that extend
credit or charge student accounts. I also understand that if I do not complete the course or do not earn the necessary grade for reimbursement of tuition by my
school system (grade of C or better for BCPS; grade of B or better for AACPS), I will be responsible for paying the tuition directly to Goucher College. I agree to
reimburse the College for reasonable attorney fees and all other costs incurred in collection efforts, should charges not be paid when due.

documentation (for example a driver’s license, divorce decree, or S.S. card) as well as a written request to change your name. If this process is not followed and
we are not able to invoice the county for your tuition reimbursement because of a name discrepancy then you will be billed the full reimbursement amount and
will be required to seek reimbursement on your own after paying the tuition to Goucher.
