Citizen engagement: Limited. Initiatives have mainly involved literature
reviews, staff/stakeholder consultations, and driven by reporting
requirements. Sydney City has made framework available on their
website for citizen comment.
Usage: Limited. Most initiatives are yet to compile/collect their first
wave of indicator data. HVRF data has been used to inform policy
makers and citizens and for Council planning (limited). There are plans
for usage of other indicator data at State/local level planning.
Variety of projects at different levels but
coordination and leadership are lacking
Much of the work thus far has focussed on
designing frameworks
Significant duplication of efforts and
inefficient use of resources
Urgent need for leadership at the State
level
