CHUMs tutoring is set to begin soon.
This week’s presenter was Leah Adeniji, the assistant director and liason to the college of
engineering for CES.
The top strategies used by companies to recruit college talent are career fairs, internships/coops,
and networking.
How to work a career fair:
1. Clean social media
2. Customize your 30 second intro
3. Well written resume and cover letter
4. Practice behavioral interviewing
5. References
6. Research companies in advance
7. Create a plan of action
8. Dress to impress. Conservative is key
9. Create a list of meaningful questions
10. Record info and create contact list
11. Follow up and prepare of next day interviews
