Complete each of the following tasks.
Use the steps from the guided practice
worksheet to find the
EBSCOHost Databases.
Try 2 or three Boolean searches using
EBSCOHost, just as you did with
ERIC from CSA.
TASK 1: Enter your observations as to how ERIC from CSA and EBSCOHost compare in terms
of ease of use. Which one do you prefer after you initial contact?

credentialing focus: i.e., history, English, science, math, physical education, special
education, music, etc.

C: When you have set
these parameters,
then click search.
Enter the counts for your search when you have narrowed your parameters enough to be able to

 Some articles can only be acquired through Inter-Library loan, or
may be in hard copy in CSUN’s library.
 Using the online databases requires patience and practice.
 SOME ARTICLES listed as available on line are not available.
 You will discover that many of the articles you wish to view are not
available online.
 For this exercise, find another suitable article if your first or second
choices are not available.
