TOPIC Art in Archaeology (Art-in-Arch.)
Name ____________________________________________
Use Archaeology Magazine to develop a topic to develop for your presentation. It will need to be fast, so concentrate in class whenever you are working on Art-in-Arch. You may print as many
charts as you need. Later you will be consolidating your work with classmates to hone down your topic. Ultimately, you may present as a group of up to three people. You may present alone. The
choice is yours. Are you starting with a particular culture in mind? Or not?. Look through Magazine and document your information. At the top of this Guide, I will give you an example of how to set
up your search. Develop your seeing skills now. This form is posted on both the Learning Web and on EO2 in the Art in Architecture Project Folder. Print as many copies as you need. Delete the
demonstration if you wish.

What ideas are your pursuing?
What is it related to in the text or
resources in EO2/
How does cuneiform evolve? What does
it say in the text or PPTs about the use of
cuneiform? Are there examples of
cuneiform in Houston?
What are cats in Egyptian culture? Why
do we collect things that combine
ancient and modern? Does this make
any sense, except it is a magazine about
ancient cultures.
Now that you see how it is done, start your own chart. Write as clearly as you can, dark enough to see. You may follow up by typing your info so it is easier to read OR simply
write in your information. Is there a pattern that emerges in the articles. Also, go online for some extra research at the archaeology.org site.
