Proposal is for a new secondary PGCE course working with the Deanes School, Benfleet (a partnership school) wishing to build on their physical education specialist status

The Deans School has bid for physical education initial teacher training places through the governmen t’s
School Direct programme

The proposal is to develop a network of schools to provide placements and contribute to the school based training

The proposed course will be developed within the existing framework containing generic modules with two which relate to subject specialism

No new modules, 100% existing modules

No significant capital spend

