This program is part of the USC U.S. – China Institute (USCI) / National Consortium for Teaching
about Asia (NCTA) outreach effort funded by the Freeman Foundation. Selection for the seminar will be based on our assessment of how ready and likely applicants are to make effective use of the seminar and associated materials provided to engage their students in studying East Asia.
Enrollment is limited to 24 participants and priority will be given to high school world history and language arts teachers.
In addition to the completed seminar application form, please also provide:
1.
A short résumé (curriculum vita) of 1-2 pages that provides contact information and lists your educational background and teaching experience.
2.
A letter from your school principal confirming your teaching assignment.
3.
A check for $50, made payable to "University of Southern California," to hold your registration slot. Your deposit will be returned following enrollment.
