West Texas Panhandle Chapter ENA Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) 2016 The TNCC Provider is designed to provide core level trauma knowledge and psychomotor skills associated with the delivery of professional emergency care to the trauma patient. The content we present is through a combination of lectures and psychomotor skills stations. To maximize success in this course, we recommend that the participant have at least six months of clinical emergency experience. We assume that the course participant possesses generic nursing knowledge, has an understanding of emergency care terminology, and is familiar with standard emergency medical equipment. Registrations/ payment must be received so the student has their manual at least 30 days prior to the course. LVNs, Paramedics, and Physicians may audit the course for CE credits. Graduate Nurses may take the course within three months of taking their licensing examination. Only Registered Nurse attendees may participate in the testing of the psychomotor skill station and multi- choice examination whereby upon successful course completion the student will be awarded a verification certificate of completion by the ENA. In accordance with the American with Disabilities Act, please advise the Course Director of any disability that requires special materials and/ or services so that appropriate personnel will be available. The Emergency Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Upon receipt of registration, the participant will receive a TNCC Provider manual designed to reinforce the lectures/ skills and directions to access a link which will enable them to view online modules prior to attending the course. Due to limited enrollment, telephone registration cannot be accepted. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, firstserved basis.
