PARALEGAL / LEGAL ASSISTANT
A leading and fast growing medical management and physician staffing company in Southern California
seeks an experienced Paralegal to provide administrative and para-professional legal support to an
attorney who functions as the Chief Operating Officer. The Paralegal must provide superior customer
service with high attention to detail and accuracy while contributing to a positive, professional team
environment.
The Paralegal must be highly organized, resourceful, able to multi-task, work well with different
individuals, possess excellent communication skills, have a strong work ethic, have a results oriented
mentality, and be deadline driven.
The Paralegal will work directly with the COO to draft contracts, insurance agreements, legal
correspondence, outlines and memos. This person will also conduct legal research, analyze Excel
spreadsheets, coordinate meetings and prepare meeting reports, record and track data in Excel, and
perform a variety of other administrative tasks.

Work schedule is Mon-Fri from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm with some flexibility required.
This is a full time, salaried position. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success as a paralegal
in a transactional environment, having supported “C” level personnel in a committed, dedicated and
professional manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Providing administrative support to the COO at all levels of responsibility ranging from preparing
correspondence and agency filings, forming corporations and maintaining corporate compliance,
organizing legal files and copying/transmitting documents
2. Conducting business and legal research using the internet, periodicals, law libraries, and public
records
3. Creating miscellaneous reports
4. Preparing, revising and reviewing draft legal documents
5. Filing documents with appropriate entities
6. Organizing and coordinating meetings; taking, typing and distributing minutes of meetings
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
1. Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent; college degree highly preferred
2. Minimum of two years of experience as a transactional paralegal; experience in the Healthcare
industry is a definite plus
3. Knowledge of legal entity formation and maintenance (including partnerships, LLCs and
professional medical corporations)
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
5. Strong writing skills and legal research experience
6. Excellent communication, organizational, follow-up and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and take ownership until completion
8. High attention to detail with the ability to develop strategies to streamline and organize workflows
