Attendance: Attendance is very important in this course. You should not be absent more than four (4) times during this course. If I know that I am going to be absent, I will notify the class that a sub will be provided. Tardiness: If you are more than forty-five (45) minutes late, you will be counted as absent for that day! If I am going to be late and I know in advance, I will let the class know. If I am going to be late and I did not know in advance, the Science Department Office will put a note on the door. Make- Up Exams: All make up tests will be given on the next class day or whenever the student returns to class. If the student fails to take the make up test, the student will receive a grade of F for the test. You cannot make up labs. Conference: I will be available for conference each day for 30 minutes after class. Disability Notification: If you have a disability that could possibly interfere with full participation in this course, please let me know at the beginning of the course and I will make the necessary arrangements. Grading System: Four tests will be given in this course, a final examination and two laboratory tests. The four tests will make up fifty (50%) of the overall grade in the course. Laboratory tests and laboratory notebook will make up 25% and the final examination will make up the other 25%.
