Team Project - Biology II, 1407 Due April 28th/April 30th Project Schedule (point value towards total points) April 7th (10pts) - Team members identified (3-4 members/team) with teams turning in a list of members to me. April 9th (10pts) - Project description with teams to provide to me a brief written description of their project for approval before proceeding. No project can be started until the project gets my final approval. April 28th/April 30th (50pts) - Team projects are due. In addition to this being the due date, the team is also required to give a brief verbal report that describes their project covering what their project is and how it relates to some aspect of Biology II. April 28th/30th (25pts) - Individual reports are due. In addition to this being the project due date, each member of the team is also required to submit a two page written report about the team project. April 30th (5pts) - Peer evaluation due and to be turned in during class. Project Information: About the project - As a team you will (in a creative way) illustrate with models, drawings or anything conceivable, a concept of Biology II, Bio 1407. Each team member is responsible for participating in the construction of this project. The final product should reflect and assist not only your team, but other teams as well, in understanding the concept that you present. Be creative and dive deep into your project. Don’t let the information presented in class serve as a limit to the depth of your interpretation of the concept. I want to see a product that results from a collaboration of ideas from all group members. So, it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that everyone becomes a member of their team and participates in an active way. You have contributions to make that will benefit your team but you have to take the initiative to give. About the report - Information about the report will be provided after projects are chosen. About the evaluations - After turning in the project, you must evaluate all members of your team and rate them on a scale of one (worst) to ten (best). This is your chance to praise your fellow members or share the lack of motivation expressed by your team members. Some examples of evaluations… Linny (5) Linny was high energy and fabulous to work with. Linny attended every meeting on time and was positive about all aspects of our project. Linny even went the extra mile to bring celery doughnuts to one meeting. Tuck (3) Tuck was very easy to work with, kind of the peace maker of the group. He did a great job of working with others, but didn’t show much interest in the final product. He was also a bit slow in his response time. Ming-Ming(1) Ming-Ming failed to contribute a single thought in the design of our project. She was never at our meetings and even stiffed the group in providing the $3 contributed by each member to purchase supplies for the project. She was a definite loner who wanted to take the project in her own direction. Project Point Value - Team Project (75 points) + Individual Report (25 points) = 100 points
