While quantitative metrics are useful, this report should provide brief descriptive, qualitative information as well in order to give a multifaceted account of the program and director’s efforts, achievements, needs, and objectives. DEADLINE: Please submit to the chairperson and to the graduate dean by June 1. I. Mission and Goals a. What is the mission of your graduate program? If your program does not have an explicit mission statement, explain the program’s overarching goals. How does it fit into the mission of your department? List below what you currently see as the three greatest strengths of your graduate program. II. Program Updates a. List below any significant program-level accomplishments (i.e., best M.A. Program in your discipline). b. List below any significant program-level innovations over the last year (i.e., the introduction or elimination of certificates, tracks, or concentrations; curriculum changes; changes in requirements such as the comprehensive exam or capstone experiences; website overhaul). c. List below any significant program-level marketing and recruitment efforts. Discuss any successes and/or challenges you have experienced in this area. III. Students a. Recognizing the diversity of students who enroll in Villanova’s CLAS graduate programs, describe your students (for instance, their academic and/or professional qualifications, reasons for choosing Villanova, and the cohesion of students in the program). b. Enrollment Trends and Planning a. Reflect on the enrollment trends in your program over the last three years (see here for the official university enrollment statistics). What factors – internal and external – influence enrollment in your program? b. What is the optimum number of students you would like to see enrolled in your program? c. What opportunities are available for program enrollment growth? Are any resources needed to support a larger student body? V. Office of Graduate Studies a.
