INPATIENT & ACUTE REHAB UNIT JOB SUMMARY Works under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Leadership Team and the Physical Therapy Manager(s). Utilizing skill and assessment techniques the Licensed Therapist evaluates the patients rehabilitation needs, establishes treatment plans and goals, and periodically reassesses the patent's response to the treatment plan. The therapist will assess and treat a patient population that includes pediatrics (birth to twenty-one years of age) through geriatrics. Performs other duties as assigned. The therapist has the ability to interact well with patients, family, public, physician and other staff regardless of age, color, creed, race or diagnosis. The therapist will strive to improve their clinical skills, and to develop clinical expertise in at least one area of practice. Will work with the Physical Therapy Manager(s) and/or the Rehabilitation Leadership Team to develop a plan for ongoing career development. JOB SPECIFICATIONS LICENSURE: EXPERIENCE: Nebraska Physical Therapy License required. Progressive levels of expertise will require one or more of the following: work experience, self-study, special certification or post-professional education. Mandatory hospital education annually. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) bi-annually. Job-related competencies: self-assessment with orientation, departmental competencies yearly in conjunction with performance review.
