HD Peers’ Newsletter Fall 2013, Issue 3 Things to consider The end of the fall semester is approaching and we have to pay attention to deadlines and prepare for the coming semester. If you want to graduate in spring or summer 2014 and have not yet applied for graduation, you have to pay a $15 application late fee. The deadline to apply for graduating in Spring 2014 is Jun/30 and for Summer 2014 is Aug/20. To apply for graduation, login to your Student Center and locate the Apply for Graduation Field. Congratulations to those who are graduating next year! If you want to take the class during the summer, you have to attend the orientation in spring (even if you already attended the previous orientation). HD490, 495, & 497 will be offered during the summer; HD495 is on-line for 10 weeks. Topic of the Week Career Center HD requirements to other programs The Career Center helps with resume development, career assessments, grad school info, workshops & mock interviews. Education: Multiple Subject Credential Program A two-semester (38 units) program prepares students to teach K-12 with responsibility for all subject areas. Credential holders more often work in preschool and elementary school classrooms. Prior to admission to the program students must pass CSET Multiple Subjects Examination Pre-requisites: EDU350, EDU364, EDU422 November Workshops Networking for Your Job Search Overcome your intimidation with the word ‘network’ as well as where and how to start - November 19, 12 pm How to Keep Your Internship Learn tips on communication, following policies & procedures and workplace behavior.
