Field Experiences in Psychology

6 hours per week
Course overview:
 Students complete 80 hours of field work in a variety of settings such as human resources, schools, nonprofits, and human services.
 Students gain real world psychology related experiences at their sites
 Students attend a weekly class where we will discuss a series of readings as well as students’ field
experiences to better understand careers in psychology.
 Students will work on a series of writing assignments related to the readings and particular aspects of the
organization at which they are working
Enrollment:
Nine (9) units of upper division psychology courses are required to enroll. Space is limited and enrollment is by
approval of the instructor, Dr. Gerardo Gonzalez, so complete your application as soon as possible (available
