Preparing for elections in colleges
2015-16 FC membership:
o Faculty Congress Charter (Article II, Membership)
 # of reps per college or unit = 1 faculty member for every 15
tenure-track faculty
o Humanities (3 + Jean – Fac Senate Chair)
o Social Sciences (2 vacancies)
o Natural Sciences (2 vacancies) – checking on # faculty, reps
o Nursing (1 vacancy)
o CoBE (1 vacancy)
o KHUOK (1 + 1 Fac Senate chair) – need to check on # of faculty, reps
o Pharmacy - need to check on # of faculty, vacancy?
o Library - ok
Committees
 Seri – will stay on for Assessment, Program Review
 Michael - done
 Jim – Academic Policy?
 Faith – Student Success?
Report at next Exec Meeting (April) if you wish to stay on.

Reminder: Committee chairs need to have written reports – summary of
committee work. (Justify course release).

 Aviation Program
o Arthur C. will be there to answer questions

New Business:
 Have colleges hold elections for 2015-16 Congress reps
For April Congress meeting:
 Request for VCAdmA Sakai to speak and update faculty on budget.
 Invite Gail Makuakane to speak to recruitment efforts.
 Invite VCAA Platz to answer questions.
At next Executive Congress meeting, fine-tune agenda for what we’d like
administrators to address.
Faculty Forum for GE
 April 13th – Monday, 12 noon – 1:00 p.m.
 Kim will try to reserve UCB 127
 Faculty only –
Google Calendar for sign up to use PB-9
 Kim will check on how to do this.
