None of the ECI coursework for this degree may be applied to NAU Early Childhood, Elementary, or
Secondary Master’s Degrees. A Program of Study must accompany the application for admission to the
program. Students must be admitted to this degree program before taking coursework. A maximum
of 9 credit hours may be transferred into the Masters/Certification program subject to Graduate College
policy on transfer credit. Course substitution is made on a case by case basis subject to the approval of
advisor and department chair. ETC 447 or one-credit technology course (ETC XXX) is a prerequisite to the
program, although may be exempt subject to satisfactory placement test score.
* College Algebra or equivalent mathematics is a prerequisite for Elementary School Mathematics,
ECI573.
