Note that once given this status, part of the faculty member’s annual evaluation is carried out by the UC and is
subject to UC expectations. Expectations are higher for Fellows than for Affiliates. Faculty Fellow status allows a
faculty member to receive support from the University College for scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL), as
well as travel to conferences whose focus is related to the faculty member’s role within UC.
