Arizona Students’ Association

WHEREAS, The Arizona Students’ Association (ASA) stands and fights for student rights in higher
education throughout the state of Arizona
WHEREAS, The ASA $2 fee has been used for:
 Campaigns to promote higher education
 Funding scholarships to student leadership conferences
 Uniting Arizona students to promote leadership and unity
 Advocating to elected officials on issues pertaining to education
WHEREAS, ASA promotes both individual and group leadership growth through internship experience
and opportunities to attend statewide conferences
WHEREAS, ASA encourages political involvement of students by running grassroots campaigns where
both intern and volunteer members can plan and execute campaigns that support higher
education
WHEREAS, ASA works to better higher education by working on issues that the Arizona students bring
forth and seek betterment
WHEREAS, The Northern Arizona University branch of ASA is supportive and engaged with the
Associated Students of Northern Arizona University and the collective student body
BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The Associated Students of Northern Arizona University will support the Arizona Students’ Association
(ASA) and their ability to better higher education for the students of Arizona.
