Minutes:
The Minutes of November 6, 2006 and November 20, 2006 were approved.
Committee on Assessment of Governance and Consultation Report:
Professor Range introduced a Proposal on the Clarification of Consultation Procedures. There
was lengthy discussion on the fact that committees are being formed without the appropriate
governance consultation, and that this legislation would clearly state the process. It was agreed
upon, and moved to bring the proposal to Senate.
Handbooks: The draft of the Handbook for Council Chairs and Senate Officers was distributed,
and will be fine-tuned and distributed via email to members of the Council soon.
Elections: Richard Collier noted that he received a list of numbers of “voting” faculty, broken
down by department from the Human Resources Office. Members discussed beginning to work
on contacting department representatives regarding their departmental elections.
