Title: Addingtons
Purpose: Add Two or More Numbers to Match a Specific Number
Grade Level: Second Grade
2. (4) Number and operations. The student applies mathematical process standards
to develop and use strategies and methods for whole number computations in
order to solve addition and subtraction problems with efficiency and accuracy.
The student is expected to:
1. (A) recall basic facts to add and subtract within 20 with automaticity;
Length of Time Necessary for Game: Each level takes about five minutes
Number of Participants: Individual players

Procedure:

In the corner of the screen you will find a “Teleport Pod Number” that looks like
a table with seats. The object of the game is to add the “Addingtons” and match
this teleport number.

As the Addingtons walk out, add their numbers to match the Teleport Pod
Number. If the numbers match, with your mouse, drag the Addingtons to the
Teleport Pod and click the Pod Number.

If your answer is correct, a new Teleport Pod Number will appear.

Repeat the previous process until your round is finished.

You may place an Addington in the Teleport Pod, then take them out if you like,
just click and drag them out.
