COURSE DESCRIPTION: Students enrolled in this course will receive an elective credit, not
a mathematics credit. This course is designed to support students by reinforcing and enriching
their conceptual and procedural knowledge of algebra and problem solving through the use of a
computer-based software curriculum along with instructor led reinforcement of algebraic
concepts. This innovative approach gives students the opportunity to receive individualized
attention thus maximizing algebra learning.
PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT
Due to the nature of this class homework will not usually be assigned, however class
participation is required. Classwork and short quizzes will be used to reinforce algebraic
concepts and evaluate progress. Grades will be assigned using a point system. A student’s grade
will be determined as a percentage of total possible points earned.
*If you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to get your make up work the day you return.
*NO EXTRA CREDIT IS GIVEN*
CLASS ATTENDANCE
Attendance in class is expected. Remember once a student reaches 10 absences in a semester,
they will automatically receive a NO CREDIT. (2 Tardies = 1 absence)
