UNIT GOAL:
Students shall understand the importance of pest control in
agricultural production and appreciate the need for safe .
pesticide application procedures.

UNIT OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this unit, the students will be able
to:
1.
List the four types of plant pests.
2.
Discuss weed competition and how it effects plant populations.
3.
Describe cultural and chemical controls of common California weeds.
4.
Visually identify, collect and dry mount fifteen common weed samples.
5.
List four results of plant disease.
