ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
POLITICAL, SOCIAL, LEGAL, ETHICAL ENVIRONMENT OF BUSINESS
SAN FRANCISCO STATE UNIVERSITY

DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT
POSITION: Full-time tenure-track position in the Political, Social, Legal and Ethical Environment
of Business. The position requires the effective teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses. A
successful record of applied research in the environment of business is also expected.
RANK AND SALARY: Assistant Professor; salary competitive and dependent on qualifications.

APPOINTMENT DATE: Fall Semester 2006
QUALIFICATIONS:





Doctorate Degree in Business (or closely allied discipline), with a specialization (or
demonstrated research) in the areas of the political, social, legal, and ethical environments of
business, from an AACSB accredited school or equivalent (degree must be completed prior
to August 1, 2006).
A clearly demonstrated record of effective teaching and research promise in this field.
An established teaching/research interest in ‘applied business ethics’ would be highly valued.
Additional competencies (business/management experience, on-line course delivery,
consulting, etc.) are plus factors.
Awareness of, and sensitivity to, the educational goals of a multicultural and socially diverse
urban university population.
