12-03 A Resolution to Have a Fall Break

WHEREAS, The fall semester layout does not give the student body a fall break; and

WHEREAS, Students that have transitioned from quarters to semesters are becoming
overwhelmed with spending an additional five weeks in class; and

WHEREAS, Students would benefit mentally and academically if they were allotted a break
during the semester; and

WHEREAS, Miami University Oxford (October 11-12), University of Dayton (October 4-5),
Bowling Green State University (4-5), Central State University (Oct 5, 8), University of Toledo
(October 1, 2) all observe a fall break; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, by the Student Government of Wright State University here
assembled, that:
A fall break should be given to students halfway through fall semester after midterms.
