Introduces the basic tools and features of
digital image editing, photo retouching, and
color correction of images. Focuses on the
fundamental drawing techniques of illustration graphics
including pen tool paths, objects, and type. (Cross-listed as
ART 205.)

Demonstrate competency in digital imaging and illustration graphics by completing graphic
design projects.

On Successful completion of this course, students will be able to
a. Color Correct a series of landscape images using
Selection Tools, Layers, Levels, Hue and Saturation, Curves
b. Composite a magazine cover applying
Selection Tools, Layers, Type Tool, Layer Styles, Layer Masks,
Clone Stamp Tool, Levels, Hue and Saturation
c. Enhance a tropical image with natural media effects by integrating
Layers, Layer Masks, Painting Tools, Color Systems, Hue Saturation, Filters
d. Scan and print a montage demonstrating
Selection Tools, Layers, Type Tool, Layer Styles, Layer Masks,
Clone Stamp Tool, Levels, Hue and Saturation, Filters, Scanning, Printing
e. Create a web page design bringing together
