5. GENERAL COURSE OBJECTIVES:
To provide knowledge and training in new techniques and/or specialized areas in the
sewing industry that are not included in the basic Fashion Technology curriculum.

STUDENT LEARNER OUTCOMES:
Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:
a) Understand the fundamental terminology and concepts used in the specific topic.
b) Find resources for materials and supplies needed to perform tasks.
c) Use materials, tools, equipment and supplies specific to the topic.
d) Perform specific skills being presented in the course.
e) Discuss the decision making process used to determine when to use a particular
method.
f) Complete a variety of projects related to the special topic.
